“To cut for living” a new blog about the “business” of medicine

Sounds like two different worlds, but “business” and “medicine” in reality, co-exist in a very subtle way. While economics have so much impact on the healthcare industry, not a subject is included in med school to prepare us for such very complex issues. Even simple “practice economics” and the art of “earning a living” as a physician, is shunned if not generally considered a taboo in our Filipino culture.

Which makes me feel kind of lost, as I begin my journey towards establishing a career as a physician. Well, broke as I am right now, I also couldn’t afford a financial planner or adviser. So I will take financial matters into my own hand (temporarily), read about it, learn by doing, ask authorities on such issues and then blog about it.

Yes, I’m blogging about it, in my new blog”to cut for living“. Maybe you and me will have a enlightening time discovering our road to financial freedom!

Replace it

A tag from Sis Francince and LivingSoul

Rule #1

Copy all the links below and replace a single link under the appropriate alphabet. If your domain name, or even the title of your blog, starts with an “A,” you’d replace the link under that alphabet and put the replaced link at the bottom. Also, don’t forget to credit the tagger, or where you got the list from, at the end of the list with a full URL of the post so that a pingback gets generated.

1. A. angelblush.blogspot.com
2. B. bloggingcents.com

3. C. chocmintgirl.blogspot.com

4. D. delusionsofgrandeur.com

5. E. enjoyingtheride-jenn.blogspot.com

25. Y. yimto.com

26. Z. zbudapest.com

Replaced link: acowboyswife.com
Previous tagger: macheriefrancine.com and marcroger

Rule #2

You now have to “tag” at least five people and encourage them to participate so that this thing spreads like a virus. Remember, though, that not everyone’s into these kinds of things, so don’t be upset if they don’t participate. Just simply replace your tag. Remember to tag blogs only and no pornographic ones as we do want to keep the integrity as a blogging community. TIP: Tag your frequent EntreCard droppers via its messaging system.

I’m tagging:

Ate Ghee, Weng, Pretty Life Online, and Meiyah.

Rule #3

Just like any other “meme” out there, ask a question for your taggees to answer along with your own answer to your previous question. This is optional.

~END HERE~

That’s it for now!

AJ’s Western Wear Outfitters

http://www.westernshirts.com

Do you have a thing for cowboy boots and western hats?

Western Wear is one type of clothing that would never go out of style.

There’s a website just for you that lets you choose from a variety of western wear, western shirts or clothing for men, ladies and even kids.

You can check out that website - Aj’s Western Wear Outfitters.

Their line of western clothing includes but is not limited to embroidered western snap & denim shirts, cowboy shirts, western shirts and vintage western shirts. They also do matching western styles for men, women and kids which is great if you want to attend a party that requires you to wear matching outifts, or if you just want to have them and wear them for fun.

The specialty of Aj’s Western Wear Outfitters is found in designing. They personalize your western clothing according to your barn, horse or etc. One good thing about them is that they brand or pretty much well known as monogram your shirts for free! Wow! That’s good service!

They also have available women sleepwear for ladies like moi! They also have impressive looking jackets and vest for the ranch or if you want to wear it out in your favorite country western bar.
Also, I like the collection of rhinestone belts they have and some of them are with swarovski’s and turquoise. I really like the Purple and Pink Embossed Belt, it’s like it’s really screaming my name for me to buy!

If you are a lady who has a thing for bags, your collection won’t be complete without choosing one of these cowboy women handbags. They use top pf the line leather and faux leather that would appeal to the cowgirl in you. I particulary like the Waywest Western Buckle Handbag Series. They also have this cute western wallets.

Very nice collection and lots of stuffs to choose from!

Excited to do a mountain climb? or just any outdoor adventure? It  should be a comfortable trip.
Comfortable trip is equals to correct loading of your packs. I know that all seasoned climbers has their own individual style for loading a pack but there are a few standard or shall I say universal guidelines on weight and gravity.

Experiences at Manila Domestic Airport

My recent trip to Manila has been unforgettable, not for the reasons that I enjoyed it but for the bad experiences and “suffering” we had waiting for the first flight next day.
Alright it was our fault that we’re late, and this just proves that trip to manila from batangas has always been unpredictable. I know, […]

Red Cross

Kuya Denz just had a dream last Monday. He said he dreamed of seeing our car (sorrento) with a Red Cross at the back.

And just like some peculiar event, a dream and it is suddenly real we spent two days in and out of two hospitals.

Feb.13: We went to visit our relative who gave birth to a not-fully-developed child who died after childbirth. It was the daughter-in-law of my Mom’s Aunt who sent her to school and so we owe as much to her and right now they need all the support they can get. With us, was my Aunt Emee, Uncle Boy and Ate Precious, my nurse cousin who took a 3day leave and just in time to help out. It’s amazing how God plans the support team and everything is done with smooth perfection.

We also visited a relative who stayed one month in the hospital and was in a motorcyle accident.

It was Heart’s Day. And early in the morning I rushed out to go to the hospital and assist our relative whose child just died. The Red Cross at our car’s back was prolly meant for the dead child, because the child was placed there when the body was released.

Later in the night we also visited our cute cousin Luis at Mission Hospital. He was also confined there last night because he kept vomiting whenever he gets to eat something. I think they were released yesterday.

and so I guess that just summed up my birthday and Valentine’s.

Have a great Weekend!

Le Grammy Whammy: Lessons from Hancock to the Winehouse generation

A couple of nights ago I caught on to the 50th anniversary of the Grammy Awards, and amidst jeers on Kanye West who is, as usual, perpetually pompous (sneered at the organizers for playing the music on him while he was still making his speech), it was meant to be a respectable event. The […]

Community Tax Certificate a.k.a Cedula

A Question

There are so many questions in life that needs to be answered and so many “why’s?” and “what if’s?”. But, we often disregard those questions all because we feared questioning or we feared the answers themselves.

I don’t like to ask “Why?”. It’s something I got from school. Asking somehow makes someone look dumb. Asking, means you did not make your homework. I know, I know we don’t all think that “asking” is dumb. In fact my mom always reminds me that “If you question a lot of things, you get many answers. Maraming tanong, Maraming alam“. But, you see during those times I couldn’t get the drift. I learned to just sit still and listen to the teacher drone on and on about History, Science, Math, Religion, you name all the subjects.

But, of course there is a point in your life where you get to undo those habits. And that habit of just sitting back and not to question about anything that involves life are one of those habits.

All questions have their own answers. And no one question are unanswered. “But those answers are not constant”, Einstein would say to you. Just like “humans”, Answers have a tendency to change as we go along.

And so, if you have a question always “ASK” and never dismiss it like I used to do. Ask. Ask. Ask like a kid. The answers may not come right away. The answers might come to different forms, like a book you are reading, a line from the movie you just watched, a friend you bumped into, a billboard sign, and even from nature itself.

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves.” - Rainer Maria Rilke.

Wait. Live your questions. Then ask. Be open to the changes that the answers would bring forth. Answers to our questions will come. It won’t always come from one person, because no one person has all the answers.

Remember: The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask.

Ask and it shall be given, Seek and you shall find, Knock and it shall be opened.
